Why Singapore

Singapore is a compact city-state of around 5.9 million people, and one of the most globally connected economies in the world — a genuine advantage if you're aiming for an international career straight out of university. It's also, practically speaking, the shortest flight home of any destination on this list: under two hours from most of our Malaysian branches.

The climate is tropical and consistently warm and humid year-round, with no real seasonal shift to plan around. Marina Bay Sands and the Gardens by the Bay anchor the skyline, while neighbourhoods like Chinatown and Little India give the city a density of culture that's hard to find in a country this small.

Because Singapore doesn't have the regional cost variation of a larger country, budgeting is comparatively simple — expect a consistently higher cost of living than Malaysia, offset by how easy and cheap it is to fly home.
